A Simple Technique To Make Money Online on YOUR Time

Time to buy YOUR domain name!

Now, we want to get our domain name bought and set up to forward to the sales page through our affiliate link.  This part is not hard - just like call forwarding - so don't give up on me now!


As I said before, once you do this, you will OWN this knowledge and be able to do it all so quickly and easily each future time - so do not give up here because it sounds hard, intimidating, or scary, ok?


Alright... let's go!


There are 2 steps to this process:

1.  Buying the domain name
2.  Setting up the forwarding.



I buy just about all of my domain names through GoDaddy.com  (go ahead and click that now - it will open in a new window)

When you get to the GoDaddy home page, you usually see a big search box that says ....

"Start Your Domain Search Here..."


This is where we will start our search for YOUR domain name.


Now, this part will take a little brain power, but not much.  Also, keep in mind that this is something you can NOT screw up.  There's no "wrong" way, ok?  So don't stress over this.


You're going to pick a domain name that is relevant to the product you are promoting.

So, for my example product I chose, my product is about healthy eating so I might think about buying a domain name like.....

healthyeatingresources.com


or....


healthyeatingcenter.net


or.....


eathealthyguide.info


or....


allhealthyeating.com



I think you get the idea  =)


Just plug in the words you want into the left side of the search box (no spaces or dashes or anything), then choose of you want a .com, a .net, a .info or whatever you want to check on and click "Go".


If that domain is available to buy, the page will say that your chosen domain is available with a green check mark.


If it's not available, it will tell you and then you simply search again.

It doesn't matter what domain name or extension (.com, .net, etc) you get for The DAM Way - we're not worried about this domain name ranking in Google or anything like that.  You just want something that looks attractive to someone who is interested in your products topic so they'll be more tempted to click it.  

Also, a shorter more "quirky"/easy to remember domain name is good.

But again, you can't screw this up so go for it!


When you find one available that you want, just click "add" to the right of the domain name, then scroll down a bit to the center where it says "Continue To Registration >"


Now, GoDaddy will take you through a trip of "would you like fries with that"...lol!

Now, they won't ask if you want fries, but they will ask if you want to buy more domains names, want hosting, or any other of many various offers they have.

Your standard answer will be to click "No Thanks" that is found on each page.  You won't miss anything, so just keep No-Thanking them.


Now, if you already have a GoDaddy account, they will ask you to log in.  If this is your first domain purchase with GoDaddy, simply fill in the right side where it says "Create".  Only the stuff with the little red asterick next to it is required info (for example, a Company Name is not required, but your address is).

When you're done that, click "Continue>" and move on to where you can pay.

Again, they might offer you this, that, and the other thing, but just "No Thank" them  =)

Pay for your domain....and you're done.

You'll get emailed info about your GoDaddy account and about your domain purchase so you have it for your files.


Alrighty, you now own a domain name!  Congrats!!!
