The DAM Way - Quick Steps

1.  Pick a product  - help

2.  Get Your Affiliate link (and some noted keywords) from cb-analytics - help

3.  Buy a domain - help

4.  Forward your domain to go to the salespage via your affiliate link (domain forwarding) - help

5.  Get Keywords/export your keyword list - help

6.  Write/Submit articles and build your dam - help



After all that writing I've done here, and all those videos, it really only comes down to those 6 simple steps.

Step 6 is one you do over and over to make your dam bigger and bigger and better and better....but that's all there is to it.

Once you have some articles live, go ahead and log in to your Clickbank account to check on sales each day.  I can promise you that the first time you see a sale in your account you will be doing the DAM Happy Dance!


Just a note: There are some people that absolutely freeze at the thought of doing their own keyword research. I understand...it sure does appear intimidating. If YOU are someone that would rather someone do the keyword research FOR you, then there is a service that will do that. Now, they don't always have openings for new clients, so you just have to check and see. This service sends you profitable keyword lists every single day. What this means is that each day, you open your email, get your list, and start writing.

Now, this service is NOT required for The DAM Way to work, but it can be a real time-saver and help you work smarter.

There is one last thing I want to talk about....


It's a "flaw" of The DAM Way.


Now, it's not a "fatal flaw" - and this technique still works great and is the perfect way to get started online....

But it does have a flaw.


When you DO start making sales, you won't be able to tell WHERE (as in which article) made the sale.

Now, if you're brand new, that may not sound like a big deal - money is money, right?


But once you get going, you'll realize that you really WOULD like to know WHERE your sales are coming from.  Once you can identify which articles (ie, which keywords) were bringing you sales - and which are NOT bringing you sales, you can figure out how to work The DAM Way smarter instead of harder.

There IS a way to track which articles are bringing you sales.




And this is very valuable information for those that are in this for the long haul and are truly serious about making money online.


Again, if you are brand new, this next part might freak you out a little bit.  If it does, just ignore me now.  In time, it will suddenly hit you what I was talking about and you'll be ready.


For those of you that ARE ready to amp things up, let's talk.


When you forward a domain name through GoDaddy, there is no way to track where your sales come from.

However, a good friend of mine developed the perfect solution for followers of The DAM Way.


It's a little script (don't freak at the word "Script") that makes it so you will be able to see inside your Clickbank account which article made the sale for you.


It is SUPER easy to use, and Roger (my friend) has tons of videos, support, and a forum to offer all the help you could possibly need.

The only down-side is that you need website hosting to do this.

For Wealthy Affiliate members, this is NOT a problem, nor is it an additional cost - WA members already have this for free.

Not only do you get the awesome keyword tool I demonstrated earlier, you also get FREE unlimited website hosting with your membership.

All you'd need to do is pay the small, one time amount to own the script and you're set.


However, if you're NOT a Wealthy Affiliate member (for whatever reason you may have), and you do NOT already have a web hosting account.... you're gonna need to get one.


I use a company called HostGator.

I've used them for years.  Their support is top-notch...and I have never, ever had a problem.  If you need help, they have live chat help 24/7 - and they are GOOD.

For about $10 a month, you can host all the sites/domain names you want.  If you buy 500 domain names to use for The DAM Way, you can put them all on that one account for only $10 a month.

Otherwise, with this cool script, all you do is add your new domain name to your hosting account (you don't use the domain forwarding for this), then upload 2 little files to your server (don't let those terms scare you....it's simple and Roger walks you right through it step-by-step).

A few little copy/paste edits in those files and now your new domain name will still foward to the sales page through your affiliate link AND it will track which articles make you sales.


It took me MAYBE 5 minutes to do it the first time... it's truly super quick and VERY easy to use.

And - it works like a charm.


Let me show you what Clickbank sales look like WITHOUT Roger's tracking -



See that blank area I'm pointing to? That is the "T.I.D." area - The Tracking ID. Without Roger's script, this area is blank. Yup, you made sales, but where did they come from??

Now - Let me show you how a sale tracked with this script looks in my Clickbank account now:






See that code the red arrow is pointing to?  That code is telling me that sale was made from an article I have on GoArticles.com.

Now THAT is useful info.

And that tracking id (TID) is inserted for you AUTOMATICALLY so you can easily see which article made you a sale!

That is very powerful information!

While this "little" free course took me a lot of time to put together, it was truly a labor of love.
